The Commissionerate Police would submit chargesheet before a local court here on Thursday in the Ushashree murder case.
The police mentioned about the role of its lone accused ex-Army medical officer Dr Somnath Parida, who had sliced his wife Ushashree into pieces on June 3 this year. Investigating officer of the case, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bishnu Mishra would file the chargesheet with the court here ahead of completion of 120 days of the murder.
The investigating team would also submit reports on lie detection on Parida, postmortem on the body, statements of the deceased’s son and daughter recorded in front of the judge, circumstantial evidences against the accused, weapon used for chopping Ushashree and statements of her brothers Goutam Samal and Ranjan Samal along with gardener of her house.
Notably, currently, Parida is in jail after his bail pleas were rejected by the court twice.
