Chaos in R'kela Cong meet during observer tour

PNS

Congress party observer for Sundargarh district Jagneswar Babu was on a tour to the district on October 29 and 30. He held meeting with Sundargarh and Rourkela DCC members.

When outgoing Rourkela DCC president Rabi Ray started his speech, disturbance started between two groups and that stretched to extreme limit which was beyond the control of the observer. Finally, the observer had to leave the place without any further discussion.

Then in the afternoon the observer holding a Press meet said that such type of disturbance is common in a political party and it is also there in other parties too. He rather described it as an excitement among the workers to get the position and said it to be a good sign.

Babu said that at the behest of the AICC, steps are being initiated to restructure the party and boost the morale of the workers and sympathizers so that in coming days the party will regain the faith of the people.

He revealed that at present there is no PCC or DCC in 33 organisational districts. Only PCC president and two working presidents are authorized by the AICC to work in their respective position and as there is no DCC, the party candidates in Assembly election were given charges to work in the transit period.

Sundargarh MP nominee of last general elections George Tirkey, Rourkela MLA candidate Biren Senapaty, Raghunathpalli MLA Candidate Prashant Sethy and Biramitrapur MLA candidate Rohit Joseph Tirkey were in the dais.

Babu informed that by November 7, he will submit the report to the PCC and later the decision on DCC will be taken. He also indicated about stringent action against the leaders who had played a role to sabotage the chances of the party in last elections.
