A Central inter-Ministerial team, which is on a three-day tour to the State since Sunday, was divided into two sub-teams and visited several Fani-affected areas in Puri and Khordha districts for damage assessment on Monday.
Accompanied by the State Industries Secretary and the Puri Collector, the team led by Ministry of Home Affairs Joint Secretary Vivek Bhardwaj visited Arakhakuda under Krushnaprasad block and Hasinapur village in Brahmagiri block in Puri district. The other sub-team visited some areas of Khordha district.
Earlier in the day, the team held a meeting with Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi here.
The team is also scheduled to visit the Fani-hit Cuttack district and the Bhubaneswar Municipality area.
The officials would make assessments of general people’s houses and Government buildings during their visits.
They would meet the Chief Secretary and apprise him about their survey.
The team would submit its report to the Union Home Ministry after returning to Delhi.
