A seven-member Central team, which arrived here on Thursday to assess the damages caused by cyclone Titli and subsequent floods in the State, visited the affected areas in Ganjam district.
The team is led by Union Home Ministry Joint Secretary SK Sahi.
The team divided into two groups visited different areas of Ganjam like Aska, Polsara and Sorada and spoke to the people about relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken by the State Government.
The district administration officials including the district Collector also accompanied the Central team during its visit to the affected areas.
The team on Friday will make an on the spot verification and assessment of the damages caused by cyclone Titli in Gajapati district.
After the team returns to Bhubaneswar, a meeting with the State Government officials is scheduled to be held at the State Secretariat on Friday evening, informed sources.
A detailed report will be submitted by the team later.
