Vigilance officers arrested Koraput district’s Nandapur Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Snigdharani Mishra while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 1.75 lakh from a person to pass a SHG bill of Rs 9,47,843 on Tuesday.
She was taking the bribe money from one Snehalata Dalapati, a member of the Tini Bharabi SHG, Badsan Sahi, Nandapur when she was caught red-handed.
The SHG was engaged in supplying take home ration (THR) to Anganwadi Centres and, thus, had to get Rs 9, 47,843 for the month of September. Later, the Vigilance sleuths conducted raids on her office rooms and residence at Semiliguda.
