The Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday issued show-cause notices to at least 85 beneficiaries, who got plots and flats from the authority under discretionary quota (DQ). The notices were issued to the beneficiaries from among 67 cases currently under investigation.According to CDA Secretary Manaswini Sahu, the beneficiaries issued with notices have been asked to show cause within 30 days detailing as to why their allotments would not be cancelled.
Notably, a taskforce headed by senior bureaucrat Dr Taradutt had suggested to the State Government for cancellation of as many as 921 allotments of plots, houses and flats by the CDA under the DQ which were made since January 1995.
