The CBI on Thursday filed its preliminary chargesheet in the Special CBI Court here against 16 persons including BJD MlA Pravat Tripathy, former Advocate General Asok Mohanty and Artha Tatwa (AT) Group CMD Pradeep Sethy and seven companies including the AT Group.
The CBI charged the individuals and companies with criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery, violation of the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act and other laws. CBI spokesperson Kanchan Prasad said further investigation with regard to role of other persons in larger conspiracy, money trail and role of other agencies is on.
