The Sahadevkhunta police have registered a case against Future life, a chit fund company, for duping customers. Many investors have lodged complaints against the firm in this connection.
The investors and agents stated that the firm got deposits worth about Rs 2 crore under different lucrative schemes between May, 2011 and March, 2013. When the firm was unable to return the depositors' sum, its top brass have downed shutters of their offices and gone underground apprehending raids by the district police and the Crime Branch.
They mentioned the name of CMD Bijayketan Biswal, MD Padmalochan Padhi, director Khiroad Saw, Sambit Sravan Biswal, Pratima Biswal, labangalata Biswal and Arun Nayak in the FIR. The complainants, apart from demanding action against them, also demanded refund of their hard earned money.
