In a bid to create awareness among the masses, particularly Railway employees and their family members, about the importance of early diagnosis of cancer, a cancer awareness programme was organised recently under the auspices of ECoR Central Hospital at Mancheswar.
The event was attended by ECoR Central Hospital, Mancheswar Medical Director Dr JP Panda, Additional Chief Health Director Dr GC Dash and many cancer specialists, including survivors. Highlighting the present scenario of the disease, the Medical Director said that a change in the attitude of the doctors is very much needed.
“There is a need to realise that this is an era of Teamwork and this is needed during the diagnosis of the disease and after that, treatment can be taken up by the super specialists,” said the Medical Director. Dr GC Dash made a power point presentation on the theme of the world cancer day “Cancer-not beyond us.”
