In an organised move to spread the Mahima Dharma, the sole idea to strengthen democratic foundation of Hinduism, Mahima Jyoti Abhiyan was launched from Tapoban here.
Kaupanidhari Samaj president Baba Raghunath Maharaj is leading the Abhiyan, which is aimed at promoting awareness on humanity and social harmony. The Abhiyan will cover at least 400 km in three districts of Angul, Dhenkanal and Cuttack and there will be preaching sessions at 15 places.
All the Babas and devotees from Tapoban, where Mahima Dharma founder Mahima Gosain attained salvation have joined the campaign.
At Dhenkanal, the Abhiyan was welcomed by Minister for Steel and Mines Prafulla Mallick and district Collector Roopa Roshan Sahoo among others. Former Union Minister KP Singh Deo welcomed Mahima Jyoti, the Babas and the devotees at Rangamahal, where deliberations on Mahima dharma took place.
