PNS

On the occasion of the Gurupurnima, the Hindu Sanantan Sanstha organised a function at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here on Monday with Gurupurnima being performed in the traditional manner.

Subhakar Das Fatehsingh was felicitated by the Sanstha for his efforts in translating the scriptural books from Hindi into Odia.

The ceremony was addressed by chief guest Anil Dhir, national secretary of the Bharat Raksha Manch, who emphasised the need to establish Bharat as a Hindu Rashtra.

Dhir said it is tragic that Hinduism, the faith proclaiming universal brotherhood, is the target of vexatious attacks and threatened with extinction. Hindus have to reinvent themselves, become proactive and tackle this attack at political, social and religious levels. History shows that unchallenged aggressors become more aggressive.

Prakash Malondkar spoke about the gradual rot that is setting in the system in the modern youth. Religious values and social norms are being eroded due to the adoption of Western culture.

Vinayak Shanbag spoke about the Sanstha and conveyed the message of   Dr Athavale to the seekers. An exhibition of visuals and texts on Hindu Dharma was organised on the occasion.
