A State Cabinet meeting would be held at the Secretariat here on Monday morning. About 14 proposals would be taken up for discussion and approval, sources said.
The Cooperation Department’s proposal to set up 2,600 godowns across the State is likely to be discussed at the meeting. As per this proposal, the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) having adequate land would be provided funds for construction of godowns. The Nabard has sanctioned Rs 800 crore from its Warehouse Infrastructure Development Fund for the purpose.
Other proposals likely to come up at the meeting for approval include a new cadre system of the Urban Development Department, recruitments in the Fisheries and Health Department and some proposals of the Revenue and General Administration Departments.
