In connection with the murder of ex-Councillor and gangster Kunu Panda, the Baleswar police arrested two more persons on Friday and forwarded them to court.
The accused persons were identified as Sanjib Swami (25) and Siba Das (19), both of Telengasahi under the Sahadevkhunta police station. With this, a total of seven persons have been apprehended in this case so far.
According to Investigating Officer Inspector Paresh Rout, the day’s accused duo was involved in the stabbing of Panda that took place on January 24. On a tipoff, the two were nabbed when they had come to their houses to arrange money for fleeing for a long duration. During interrogation, they confessed to their crime.
More than 10 persons were involved in the Panda murder, according to police.
