There was a conspiracy to shut down the operation of the Bisra Stone Lime Company Limited (BSLC), a subsidiary of the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), at Birmitrapur in Sundargarh district, alleged Birmitrapur MLA Shankar Oram at a Press conference here on Thursday.
Oram said that in the blast furnaces and steel melting shops of different steel plants of Steel authority of India Ltd (SAIL) including the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), two types of dolomite were used and both the types of dolomites are reserved in the BSLC. But knowingly these were not supplied to the RSP and other units of SAIL, he alleged.
He also said that in such conspiracy certain officers of BSLC are involved as it is ascertained in preliminary investigation and further investigation is on about the involvement of RSP and SAIL officers in the conspiracy.
Oram further said that stringent action would be taken against the culprits and henceforth the operation of company would go on uninterruptedly as decided in a high-level meeting held at New Delhi recently.
