TUs, MCL mgmt meet on safety held (Pix)
Sambalpur: A company-level bipartite meeting on safety was held between the trade unions and the MCL management here on Tuesday under chairmanship of MCL Director (Tech/Op) OP Singh. Firstly one minute silence was observed for the memory of the miners who lost their lives for the industry and later participants took safety pledge. MCL GM (S&R) S Roy Choudhury highlighted salient and important points on safety achievements and initiatives in MCL mines and Chief Manager (Mining) CP Garg spoke on safety achievements and initiatives along with accident statistics. A discussion with suggestions on ATR of the previous meeting was made by the TUs officials. Among others, MCL Director (Tech/P&P) KK Mishra was present.
OPJCC gets ToT centre tag; 49 trainers join Pix)
Angul: The OP Jindal Community College (OPJCC), Angul has been selected as one of the Training of Trainer (ToT) centre by the Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI). The ToT Centre was inaugurated Angul BDO Mayadhar Behera on Tuesday in presence of JSPL GM (CSR) Puspalata Satapathy, OPJCC Principal Gopal Chandra Pradhan. In the programme, 49 trainers joined the OPJCC for training. The programme will continue till November 14 and Khagesh Sahu and Abhisek Tripathy will provide training to the trainers in two separate batches.
