The Baidyanathpur police here on Tuesday arrested M Kishore Chandra, son of M Budhia, a resident of Chandrachud Street under the Digapahandi police station in Ganjam district for illegal collection of money from five persons on the false promises of providing attractive jobs in Military, Air Force and police department.According to sources, Kishore has reportedly collected around Rs 25 lakh on the pretext of providing jobs to five persons, S Surup Babu, A Vickey, A Deepak, S Rahul and Chitti Babu.
Based on an FIR lodged by Surup Babu and Chitti Babu, the police arrested the accused and forwarded him to court. Kishore had sent a mail using the e-mail address: upsc.dig@gmail.com in which he reportedly acknowledged the receipts of the amounts and assured the victims that their appointment would be made soon.
The police seized a large number of leaflets, military documents, fraud appointment letters, a laptop, some Defence papers, a motorbike without number, a cell phone, some Government papers and letterheads and similar such fraud documents from the accused, said IIC of Badyanathpur police station Deepak Mishra at a Press meet. A case has been registered by the police and investigation is on, he said.
