While shortage blood in the blood banks of the MKCG Mdical College Hospital and the Red Cross Society has remained a major problem for patients here, newly-elected Brahmapur MLA Bikram Kumar Panda came forward and donated blood here on Saturday.
Panda too called upon denizens to donate blood in big numbers as there is no alternative to blood to save life. A total of 30 blood unites were collected from the camp organised by the Association for Voluntary Blood Donations (AVBD).
