The ninth State-level Natak Mahotsav, which was being orgainsed here from January 3 by the Odisha Natak Samaroh Samiti, was concluded on Sunday evening.
A play, Samasya, written and directed by Prakash Chandra Panigrahji was staged by the Shree Akhandalmani Kalaniketana, Rourkela on the concluding evening. Artistes like Tapas Satapathy, Ashok Mohanty, Rabindra Parida, Dharani Dhara Mohanta, Sukadev Pradhan, Sarat Jena and Damayanti Swain played different characters.
The play depicts how a revolutionary and extraordinary youth appears in a village and rises to resolve various problems of a village amid adverse situations.
Prakash Patnaik, Monoj Kant Das, Prabhakar Patnaik and Jitendra Patro graced as guests at the meeting presided over by Samiti working president Rabi Narayan Behera. Dr Mihiri Kumar Tripahty proposed a vote of thanks.
Among others, Sanjib Pao, Rabindra Nayak, Ramesh Sahu and Tripati Rayak coordinated the programme.
