The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday announced a special Rath Yatra train to run from Bhawanipatna, the district headquarters town of Kalahandi, to Puri for the Gundicha Yatra to be held on June 29.
This train will start from Bhawanipatna at 8.3 am June 28 and reach Puri at 3.30 am on the next day. The train will run via Titlagarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Angul with stoppages at all en route stations. ECoR’s decision to introduce a special train from Bhawanipatna this year has been widely welcomed. As announced earlier, special Gundicha Rath Yatra trains to Puri will run from Howrah, Visakhapatnam, Palasa, Kharagpur, Kendujhargarh, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, Paradip and Cuttack.
