In yet another incident of the smartphone addiction among children, a minor boy committed suicide after being denied to use mobile phone at Bharsundi village under the Raighar police station in Nabarangpur district on Saturday.
The 14-year-old boy had recently brought a new mobile phone from their own mobile phone shop in Raighar without the knowledge of his father.
When the boy was playing games on the new mobile phone at their house, his mothe asked about the new cell phone and warned him that his father would get angry over it.
Later, the boy was found hanging in the bathroom. The family members rescued the victim with the help of locals and rushed him to a hospital in Raighar where the doctor declared him brought dead.
Getting information the, Raighar police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
