Sanjay, son of Shyam Majhi, had successfully cleared the matriculation examination this year. As he had interest to continue study, he asked his father to give him money for enrolment into Plus II courses at a higher secondary school.

However, the poor father refused his son to pay admission fee and told him to get admission next year.

After this, the 19-year-old boy lost his mental balance and consumed pesticide to end his life. When his sister Sarita found him struggling with poison, she immediately informed her parents.

The family members rushed the boy to the District Headquarters Hospital here. However, he died on Thursday while undergoing treatment.
