Boudh Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Ramakanta Sethi was killed in a road mishap at Charichhak near Kalarapatha on NH-57 on Monday.
Sources said that Sethi was travelling by his Government vehicle in the morning. Midway, the driver lost control over the car, following which it skidded off the road and dashed against a roadside tree. The intensity of the clash was so high that the rear portion of the car was completely damaged.
Sethi was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital here, where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and began an inquiry into the incident.
