Denizens of Balangir town cutting across political lines and representatives of different organisations including ex-Servicemen, citizen committee, writers, academics journalists, trade unionists and Balangir Bar Association members on Thursday staged a dharna before the district Collectorate in support of Director of Burla medical college hospital VIMSAR Dr Aswini Pujhari.
Former Vice-Chancellor Prof Madusudan Pati was prominent among the participants in the dharna.
They demanded action against the culprits involved in the attack on Dr Pujahari’s house and supported his move and action to streamline the administration of the VIMSAR.later, they submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the district administration.
