The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday decided to categorise Covid patients in home isolation into two types to take the level of their care to a next step.
While the home isolation patients with no or mild symptoms are called Green Flag cases, the moderately-affected ones are termed as Red Flag patients.
For effective health monitoring of the Red Flag patients, BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh has asked the call centre for talks with them for three days about their conditions. The call center executives have already started calling these patients since Tuesday evening. With this categorisation of home isolation patients, the BMC is now able to monitor health parameters of the moderately-affected patients staying at their homes so that when needed, their hospital shifting could be easier. Secondly, these patients, in case of any urgency, could have a conversation with doctors available at 1929 24X7 Call Centre.
