Vigilance officials on Tuesday arrested Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Clerk Sudhanshu Majhi for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
Majhi had demanded the bribe from one Prashanta Kumar Ray of Rasulgarh here in connection with release of EMD and security deposit of a work done by him in 2018. Ray lodged a Vigilance complaint, following which a trap was laid and Majhi was caught red-handed while accepting the money from him.Majhi was later forwarded to court.
