The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Ganjam uniton Friday lodged an FIR at the BN Pur police station here against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Employment and Technical Education and Training Minister Sanjay Dasburma alleging that they have cheated job aspiring engineering students and harmed their future prospects.
“The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) had issued an media advertisement on August 31, 2014 that a special recruitment drive would be undertaken for recruitment of all passed out BTech, MTech, MBA, MCA, BPharma and MPharma students in September that year. As many as 48,000 students gave Rs100 each as entry fee to take part in the drive in which 300 companies were to select candidates. As the recruitment drive did not take place, the aspirants have become morally down and their future prospects have been harmed,” alleged BJYM Ganjam president Siddhant Gang Dev.

Hence a cheating case may be filed against the Chief Minister as he is the head of the Government and Dasburma as the head of the Technical Education Department,” demanded Gang Dev.
