The BJP Mahila Morcha (BJPMM) has strongly condemned the killing of Itishree Pradhan. This Government has forgotten to respect the women and atrocities on women have been increasing by the day due to low rate of conviction of the accused, the BJPMM has alleged.
On the occasion of the Diwali, the BJPMM would hold a dipadana programme in the honour of Itishree, Morcha president Simantini Jena said on Saturday. “During the BJD rule, thousands of women have been tortured and killed in the State,” she alleged. Starting from Chhabirani to Babina, Madhabilata, rashmita, Sujata and Itishree many valuable lives have been perished.
Hence, praying for the peace of the souls of those women who have faced atrocities and died, the BJPMM would organise a district-level Badabadia daka on the auspicious occasion of Diwali on Sunday.
