The BJP Mahila Morcha on Saturday announced to gherao the Crime Branch (CB) Headquarters at Cuttack on December 31 protesting against the investigating agency's “inefficiency”for which two accused recently got acquitted in the 2011 sensational cased of rape and murder of a Dalit girl in Pipili.
BJP Mahila Morcha State president Pravati Parida addressing a Press meet here said they had earlier doubted the Crime Branch probe and the acquittal of the accused brothers exposed the sloppy investigation by the State agency.
Mentioning that the Crime Branch has destroyed the evidences against the accused brothers leading to their acquittal, she said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is responsible for it. She alleged that Patnaik being in charge of the Home Department is misusing the investigating agencies.
