The BJP Mahila Morcha, Phulbani unit has called for a Phulbani Bandh on Friday demanding justice for the nine-year-old girl, who was raped and murdered on September 22, informed Morcha unit president Archana Pradhan here at a Press meet.
She said during the BJD regime, such heinous crimes are increasing rapidly.
They would protest against the rise in the incidents of rape and murder of minor girls in the State.
The law and order situation has been rapidly deteriorating in the State, she alleged. Among others, leader Smita Mahanty, former Councillor Namita Sahu, BJP district president Lingaraj Dalabehera and secretary Bhagaban Mahanty were present.
