The two Union Ministers from Odisha — Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, who were given a rousing welcome at the BJP State office here on Saturday after their first visit to the State after assuming their new positions — asserted that the BJP would emerge as the number one party in Odisha in the coming days.
They promised to work for development of the State under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Tribal Affairs Minister Oram said, “The kind of response that the people have shown in the last elections has given us a reason to hope that the BJP will be the number one party in Odisha soon. We have increased our vote percentage by 100 per cent and I am sure it will increase further if we reach out to the people in the right manner” he said and urged the party workers to address the problems of the people.
He and Pradhan also asserted that the BJP would form the next Government in the State.Oram said he would work for the tribal people in the State and try to address their problems, particularly relating to the mining issues that have been haunting them.Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Odisha would become the economic hub of the country in the coming days and would emerge as an economically prosperous State.
“Prime Minister Narenrda Modi has said development of the country is inextricably linked with development of eastern India. He has also attached great importance to Odisha by inducting two of us in his Ministry. We both will work for development and progress of the State,” said Pradhan.Earlier, the Ministers were taken in a procession to the party office from the airport. The felicitation ceremony was held under the chairmanship of party State president KV Singh Deo in the presence of senior leaders.
