BJP State president Samir Mohanty, who was on a visit to Kandhamal district on Thursday, appealed to party rank and file to put united efforts to win the upcoming panchayat and urban body elections and advised them to visit rural areas to understand problem of the people at grassroots.
On his arrival here, Mohanty was received by former MLA Karindra Majhi, district party president Jagannath Sahu and leaders Lingaraj Dalabehera, KK Pandey, youth leaders Bhagaban Mohanty, Ramesh Mohanty, Tapan Padhi and Debnarayan Pradhan.
Mohanty, accompanied by party State general secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar, Kalindi Samal, Dillip Mallick and youth general secretary Om Prakash Mishra addressed a convention of part workers at Sakuntala Kalyan Mandap in Phulbani before proceeding to Tikabali and Khajuriapada. Mohanty paid a courtesy visit to Charipada Ashram, where he met Padmashree Tadissru Baba.
