The BJP Dhenkanal district unit has condemned the BJD for playing “dirty politics” during the cooperative election in Dhenkanal. It is alleged that while the election for the president post of the Tumisinga Seva Samabaya Samiti was scheduled to be held on February 14, it was postponed at the last moment for the reason best known to the district administration.
Dhenkanal BJP President Naresh Chandra Mohapatra, Secretary Ramesh Samal, BJP State Working Committee member Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan, former Rajya Sabha member Rudra Narayan Pany, former MlAs Krushna Chandra Patra and Prasana Kumar Pattnaik, former BJP district President Deepak Pattnaik and former Dhenkanal Municipality Chairman Sunil Sharma were of unanimous that the election was cancelled when the district administration learnt that most of the members of the Samabaya Samiti belong to the BJP.
