BJP moves OHRC for action against Gajbhiye

PNS

The BJP State unit on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) seeking an inquiry into the cases of human rights violation by former Kendrapada SP Satish Gajbhiye.

Alleging that the police personnel brutally attacked the people demanding action against self-proclaimed Sarathi Baba in Kendrapada on August 8, the BJP appealed the commission to intervene in the matter of grave and gross violation of human rights and institute an inquiry against unlawful excessively brutal actions of the then SP.

The team led by party Pruthwiraj Harichandan, Samir Mohanty and Pravati Parida urged the commission to take necessary steps to protect the human rights of the common citizens of this country who had nothing against the police and out in the streets demanding action against a fake godman.
