Indiscipline and factionalism in the Ganjam district BJP has reached its peak. Some district office-bearers of the party are engaged in mudslinging openly ignoring the party’s interests.

BJP Mahila Morcha president Kalpana Mahakud reportedly lodged a complaint in the Town police station here on Wednesday alleging misbehaviour by the district president of the party.

Similarly, in another development, the district core committee in a meeting reportedly suspended two of its key district office bearers, the district Mahila Morcha president Kalpana Mahakud and district general secretary of the party Balakrushna Samantara respectively on the allegation of indulging in anti-party activities, there by adding fuel to the fire.

While the upcoming panchayat election is knocking at the doors, the party in the district appears to be a divided house. According to some party insiders, some of the key and experienced workers of the party are silent on the health of party and its activities.

According to political observers, persons who did not work for the party nominees in the last Assembly Elections and indulged in anti-party activities are being promoted at the cost of honest and hardworking workers. Bickering and factionalism would cost the party dearly in the upcoming panchayat poll, the observer added.
