BJP locks Employment Exchange offices

The BJP Yuva Morcha on Monday locked all district and sub-divisional Employment Exchange offices across the State in protest against the State Government’s alleged failure in providing employment to youths during its 19 years of rule.

Yuva Mochar activists led by respective district presidents locked the main gates and held demonstrations at Employment Exchange Offices.

“During its 19 years’ rule, the BJD Government has failed in providing employments to youths. Many posts are lying vacant in Government offices. Besides, private companies have not recruited youths as per MoU norms,” alleged activists.

In the capital city, Manch activists led by Yuva Morcha president Tankadhar Tripathy locked the Employment Exchange office here.

Tripathy demanded that the State Government make a statement as to how many youths have been enrolled in the Employment Exchanges and how many of them have got jobs during the last 19 years.

Among others, Yuva Morcha general secretary Bishwaranjan Badajena, secretary Arpita Aparajita, Abhishek Acharya, Jagannath Pradhan and Harekrushna Khuntia participated in the agitation here.

Meanwhile, the BJD also held agitations at two Central PSUs, one at Indian Rare Earths Limited, Chhatrapur, and the other at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Sunabeda.

“The BJP Government has failed to keep its promise to provide two crore youth every year. Had it given employment, 10 crore youth in the country and 36 lakh youth in the State had been benefited.

The Narendra Modi Government has betrayed the youths,” alleged BJD activists.
