The BJP began its special membership drive, ‘Booth Chalo’ Abhiyan, on the occasion of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday on Friday. The drive would continue till January 25 as part of the party’s massive membership campaign, which would end on February 11, death anniversary of Pandit Deenanath Upaddhyay.
During this drive, party leaders ranging from block-level to State level would go to every household and inform people about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development initiatives, a release informed.BJP general secretary (organisation) Prasanna Mishra inaugurated the ‘Booth Chalo’ abhiyan after garlanding Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s statue at the Rasulgarh Square here. Among others, party spokesperson Sameer Mohanty, Amiya Das, Dillip Mohanty and Jagannath Pradhan were present.
later, these party leaders also garlanded statue of Veer Surendra Sai at VSS Nagar to mark his birthday. A blood donation camp was organised in the premises of Debray College in Ward No 38 where in more than 50 persons donated blood.Many voters enrolled their names as BJP members on the occasion, the release informed.
