Debashisha Hota submitted his nomination papers for Kamakhyanagar Assembly seat as BJP nominee. Thousands of people from different villages of the Assembly segment accompanied him. The polls will be held on April 17. Hota’s nomination was a low-key affair. It marked no show-off. His supporters walked to the sub collector’s office, while a few went there on cycles. Prior to the rally, a public meeting was held at Rekula where Bhuban NAC farmers’ body secretary Surendra Prusty, Kapadia Samaj advisor Basudev Guru, Anant Ashram secretary Giridhari Sahu, Krushak Sangharsha Samiti secretary Niranjana Sahu, advisor Annada Behera, Kamakhyanagar NAC farmers body president Nilamani Kabi, tribal leaders Balaram Naik, Kiran Pradhan, Palau Naik, Dukhabandhu Malik, Patu Padhan and Mayadhar Pradhan were present.
