BJP Odisha in-charge Arun Singh on Thursday targeted the State Government for the rising infant deaths at the Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack.
Singh flayed the State Government’s decision to send back Central expert team who had come to help the Sishu Bhawan authorities in treating children.
He complained that the healthcare system is continuously deteriorating in the State. “The State Government should be extremely sensitive towards the soaring infant deaths,” Singh added. Party State spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said 5,903children have died within five years at the
Sishu Bhawan which proved the State Government’s failure in the health sector.
“The State Government sent the Central expert team back to cover up its own mistakes and lacunae,” he said.
Sharma further said that the State’s Health Minister has criticised BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra forgetting his own responsibility.
