BJP national secretary Suresh Pujari on Wednesday strongly criticised the dual policy of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on different occasions.
While he stuck to one policy for former Ministers like Kamala Das and Nalinikant Mohanty, he adopts another for the four MlAs of his party who asked for money for establishing industries in their respective areas.
“There were allegations against Kamala Das and also Nalini Mohanty. They were not proved, but the Chief Minister all on a sudden sacked them from the ministry without waiting for any inquiry. But in the case of these four tainted MlAs in the recent case of ‘cash for industry’ where video tapes are already there, why Patnaik is taking similar course,” asked Pujari.
He further said the Chief Minister is now using the Crime Branch and the State Vigilance for own interest. Sometimes, they are used for ‘defence’ and sometimes to ‘eliminate’.
But in this case of the four MlAs, declaration of Vigilance inquiry is nothing but an escape route,” Pujari maintained, adding that nothing will happen by the Vigilance inquiry in the case.
“The most unfortunate part of the incident is that people of the State will gradually lose their confidence on democratic system and also the public representatives which will ultimately prove to be fatal for any democracy,” Pujari said.
Commenting on the ‘Mahaprayan Yojana’, he said it is Patnaik who is going to be the largest beneficiary of the scheme since it is heading fast towards it end. “The dead body of the Odisha government will be carried in this Mahaprayan vehicle soon,” Pujari said sarcastically.
