Exchange of challenges between the BJD and the BJP to hold dialogues on the State’s development and Central aid given to Odisha during the present Narendra Modi Government seems getting uglier by the day.
In response to the BJD’s condition that Modi should to be opposite to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the discussion table, the BJP on Sunday said the BJD now tries to find a sideway out to escape the open dialogue challenge.
“The BJD now tries to find out a sideway to escape from open debate challenge in fear of Odia language and Dharmendra Pradhan,” said BJP State general Secretary Prithviraj Harichandan.
He argued that Pradhan is an Odia and a Cabinet Minister in the Union Government; and hence, there is no protocol problem in him making a dialogue with the Chief Minister. More so, the BJP’s proposal to hold dialogue in Odia is in the interest of over four crore people, who can listen to the dialogue and take decision accordingly.
“As the first condition of the BJP was to hold the dialogue in Odia, the BJD is now taking a plea of calling the PM to the discussion table only to refrain from the dialogue,” he said.
Among others, BJP State secretary Kalandi Samal and Yuva Morcha State president Tankadhar Tripathy were present.
