Ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament, BJD MPs on Saturday held a meeting at the Naveen Niwas here to discuss issues to be raised during the session.

A total of 19 BJD lok Sabha members, except Ramachandra Hansda, and all six Rajya Sabha members were present at the meeting held under chairmanship of party supreme and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Paniak told reporters, “The party MPs will raise several issues, including drought in Odisha, in the Parliament.”

Replying to a query on the intolerance issue, Patnaik stated, “Our party is totally secular and against intolerance.”

Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda said, “We have been opposing the Centre over the issues which were against Odisha’s interest and supported issues which are favourable to Odisha and the country.”
