BJD posters torn; FIR lodged

PNS

Two FIRs against unidentified persons were registered in two Police Stations by the BJD on Friday after its posters on the Paradip Refinery having Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s photos were found torn.

Party cadres lodged the complaints at the Saheed Nagar and Capital police stations.

“Our posters installed along the 3-km Janpath between Vani Vihar Square and Ram Mandir and AG Squares and BJD office and Raj Bhavan were torn and damaged,” said BJD leader and BMC Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena. Meanwhile, BJD and BJP workers resorted to road blockades at Paradip over display of posters in the port town welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJD and the BJP have unleashed a massive poster war ahead of the PM’s visit.

While BJP has put up huge billboards featuring Modi’s life-size images mentioning features about the refinery, the BJD has also dispalyed posters with Naveen Patnaik’s photos.
