Terming the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) as an anti-Odisha political party, the BJP on Saturday severely criticised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for forming pre-poll alliance with it (JMM) for political gains only.
“The JMM has kept up agitation aiming to take three districts, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh to Jharkhand. It is the most unfortunate that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has betrayed the people of the State by making pre-poll ties with the JMM,” BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said in a Press release. Sharma further alleged that political power has made Patnaik blind. “The vote-bank has made BJD dumb, deaf and blind. Naveen babu has pledged the State’s interest and self-esteem of its people before an anti-Odisha element like JMM,” he said.
He further alleged that the Chief Minister has made the alliance with JMM in fear of increasing popularity of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
