BJD State election officer Pratap Keshari Deb on Wednesday announced names of presidents of 29 of its 32 organising districts. These presidents were selected on consensus by the 3rd phase of the party’s election process, Deb informed in a statement.
The elected district presidents are Rajanikant Singh (Angul), Anant Das (Baleswar), Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha (Bargarh), Arjun Charan Singh (Bhadrak), Babuli MIshra (Bhubaneswar), Mahidhar Rana (Boudh), Pratap Jena (Cuttack), Sudhir Kumar Kapardar (Deogarh), Dr Nrusingh Charan Sahoo (Dhenkanal), Pradeep Kumar Nayak (Gajapati), Bishnu Das (Jagatsinghpur), Kishore Kumar Mohanty (Jharsuguda), Naresh Chandra Mohanty (Jajpur), Puspendra Singhdeo (Kalahandi), Druba Sahoo (Kendrapada), Ashish Chakrabarty (Keonjhar), Bibhuti Bhushan Balabantray (Khorda), Saroj Kumar Karna (Kandhamal), Jayaram Pangi (Koraput), laxman Tudu (Mayurbhanj), Manas Madkami (Malkangiri), Rabi Narayan Mohapatra (Nayagarh), Ramesh Chandra Majhi (Nabarangpur), Prasanna Kumar Padhi (Nuapada), Maheshwar Mohanty (Puri), Anand Chandra Mohanty (Rourkela), Sudhir Das (Rayagada), Saroj Kampa (Subarnapur) and Mangala Kissan (Sundargarh).
He further informed that presidents of the rest three organising district would be elected on consensus too for which concerned district election officers have sought more time. The fourth phase of the State council election would begin from Thursday, he said.
