The BJP took out a massive rally here again the misrule and corruption of the BJD Government. Party leaders spewed venom at the State Government and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, saying that the winter session of the Assembly ended abruptly as the Government wanted to escape from the chit fund heat.
The party leaders lambasted Patnaik for maintaining silence over the chit fund scam and said that the BJP was committed to give transparent and effective governance in the State like the Central Government-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting was attended by senior leader Bijay Mohapatra, former MlA Pratap Sarangi, Remuna MlA Gobinda Das, former Minister Manmohan Samal among others. About 4,000 workers participated in the rally that was taken out from Gandhi Smruti Bhawan to the Collectorate.
Addressing the rally, Mohapatra said, “The Chief Minister is in deep trouble after arrest of his party’s MP, MlA and others functionaries. The Speaker is also in a fake caste certificate row. There is really a constitutional crisis in the State.”
