Senior BJD leader Sarata Pradhan, the party’s president of Seegarh GP in Pallahara block, was killed in a road accident on NH-149 at Samiapali Chhak on Monday morning.
When Pradhan was heading towards Balipasi village by his motorcycle, his vehicle dashed against the backside of a standing bus. He was rushed to the Pallahara medical, where doctor advised to shift him immediately to the Cuttack SCB Medical College Hospital.
But due to non-availability of ambulance service, Pradhan sould not be moved for two long hours. Thought there are three ambulances in the Pallahara hospital, they have no drivers.
Pradhan’s blood vomiting could not be controlled, leading to his death. Pallahara MLA Mukesh Pal and Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahoo deeply condoled Pradhan’s death.
