The CBI here on Wednesday interrogated former Cuttack district BJD unit working president Prafulla Singh in connection with his alleged links with two chit fund firms, Artha Tatwa (AT) Group and Seashore Group of Companies.

Singh was grilled by the CBI for about five hours in two sessions. While the first session lasted for three hours, the second was for two hours.

Earlier, Singh was interrogated twice on August 5 and 10.

“The CBI had sought some documents. I have submitted the necessary documents as desired by the CBI. I will fully cooperate in the investigation process. I will appear as many times as I am summoned by them. I haven’t made any financial transaction with anyone,” Singh told reporters after emerging out of the CBI office.

The investigating agency is trying to ascertain whether Singh was mediating between his party leaders and the tainted chit fund firms.
