BJD hoodwinking farmers with false data: PCC chief

PNS

Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik on Tuesday alleged that farmers have been deprived of minimum facilities and Government cooperation during the last 19 years in the State.

“To earn livelihood, about 3 lakh farmers are compelled to work as bonded labourers in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and other States every year. But the State Government is announcing schemes after schemes for farmers, daily labourers and common people in pen and paper only and trying to take the pride by giving false data,” Patnaik alleged.

He alleged that the KALIA is a drama before election.

“Now, they are demanding MSP hike as well as Special Category Status for the State at New Delhi. Odisha could have gained if the BJD would have extended conditional support to the BJP during President and Vice President elections. But that was not done and they supported each other on many issues. Now, the BJD is trying to make the Odia people fool,” alleged the PCC chief.
