BJP State president KV Singh Deo blamed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the gas balloon explosion near the latter's residence, Naveen Niwas, during the celebration of his birthday in which many students were injured.
"Earlier the Chief Minister had imposed a ban on use of gas balloons in public rallies. But he, his ministerial colleagues and other BJD leaders have turned so much stubborn that they used dangerous gas balloons on his birthday and played with the life of innocent students. They are all responsible for the incident," said Singh Deo after visiting the injured students at the Capital Hospital.
Senior party leaders like Bishwabhushan Harichandan, MlA Pradeep Purohit, Bhubaneswar district president Amiya Dash and State executive members Jagannath Pradhan and Dillip Mohanty were present. Singh Deo said some injured students were in critical condition.
