BJD-Congress unholy nexus now exposed: BJP

PNS

BJP State chief spokesperson Suresh Pujari on Saturday condemned the statement of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on that he would not accept Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.

It is apparent that Patnaik wants to repay his debts to the Congress for bailing him out while seeking a vote of confidence in the floor of the State Assembly after the BJD-BJP alliance ended in 2009, Pujari said, pointing out that the Congress had abstained from the not-rust motion helping the BJD in a tacit manner.

Of late, the secularist tune which Naveen Patnaik is singing in sync with the UPA’s cover-up was first sung by PM Manmohan Singh and the Congress always plays the secularism card as a cover-up whenever it is cornered by its own pitfalls, he said.

Pujari said Union Minister Shashi Tharoor’s comment that there is no ideological difference between the BJD and the Congress is nothing more than luring the BJD to a possible coalition with the Congress.

Patnaik also said that he would maintain a safe equidistance from both the Congress and the BJP.

However, looking at the BJD’s track record, it is evident that the BJD has always maintained an unholy alliance with the Congress despite the entire periodic rabblerousing. Every Central Minister has showered praise on Patnaik, Pujari said.

The browbeating in the matter of the Posco project and the mining and coal scams shows the tacit understanding between them, he said. The indication of Tharoor that the Congress’ doors are always open for the BJD has exposed the illicit nexus that is making the State and the country to suffer, alleged Pujari.
